The used gear market in Canada is full of listings that overstate condition, photos that hide damage, and sellers who ghost you after the sale. We've all been there.

Chili's Sound started as a response to exactly that. We built a four-stage inspection process — the ChiliSound™ Standard — that every instrument has to pass before we list it. If it doesn't make the cut, we don't sell it. Simple.

We're based in Burlington, Ontario, and we serve musicians across Canada. Every instrument we list has been handled, played, and documented by us personally.

Honest condition descriptions

Our listings describe what the instrument actually looks and plays like — dings, repairs, and all. You will not be surprised when it arrives.

Play-tested by working musicians

We don't evaluate instruments by plugging them in for 30 seconds. Every piece gets real play time. We are players ourselves — we know what "plays well" actually means.

Fair offers when we buy

We tell you exactly what we'll pay and why. No lowball anchoring, no wasted trips. If the number doesn't work for you, we'll tell you where else you might do better.

Donation proceeds go to schools

When an instrument is donated to us, we sell it and put 100% of the proceeds toward school music programs in the Burlington area. If it can't be sold, we donate the instrument itself. Gear that's done its time with you can still do good.

We're a local operation with national reach. If you're in the Burlington or Greater Hamilton area, you may be able to arrange a local pickup. For everyone else, we ship carefully packaged instruments across Canada.
